    Scully & Macy Distinctive Gifts was developed to fulfill a need on the island for a gift basket and favor service to accommodate the growing social calendar of many of Nantucket residents, summer homeowners, Non-Profit Organizations and Nantucket visitors.

It is our mission to provide the highest quality product that is unique to Nantucket and is also accessible to Nantucket islanders and for that matter, worldwide via the web.

Curious about the name Scully & Macy?

Scully, refers to my great-grand parents Beulah and Edwin Scully (“Pa”)  who used to live in the tiny house on the corner of Easy and Broad St. in downtown Nantucket which is now “Kidding Around” and the yard where the picnic tables are beside “Henry’s Sandwiches” was a beautiful garden full of hollyhocks. When I was a child, my mother would leave me off in the fenced in yard while she did errands in town under the watchful eye of “Gram” Scully.
Macy was my husband’s grandmother’s maiden name. Myra Macy Marks was a dear and sweet woman who loved all of her grandchildren and would protect them from their grandfather, Philip Marks Sr. when they decided to practice their football punting skills with grandfather’s vegetables in his garden.  She loved to play the accordion and had a soft spot for my hubby.

The butterfly represents my mother’s guardian angel. Pa Scully had a very special connection with my mother and was always her champion.  On the day of his funeral, a beautiful yellow butterfly appeared and hovered around my mother and then flew away. On every special occasion in her life and now mine, a butterfly has reappeared.  We know it is Pa watching.
